DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/14 13:56 Crop Prices Battle Bearish Outside Markets, End Mostly Lower December corn closed up 5 3/4 cents and August soybean meal was up $1.70, but the rest of the soy complex and all three U.S. wheats ended lower Thursday, brought down by another day of bearish concerns regarding the economy. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 5 cents and December corn was up 5 3/4 cents. August soybeans closed down 13 cents and November soybeans were down 8 1/2 cents. September KC wheat closed down 13 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 15 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 3 1/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.67 at 108.43. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 177.09 points at 30,595.70. August gold is down $25.60 at $1,709.90, September silver is down $0.84 at $18.36 and September copper is down $0.0930. August crude oil is down $0.59 at $95.71, August heating oil is down $0.0147, August RBOB gasoline is down $0.0420 and August natural gas is down $0.087.
