DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/18 14:01 Risk-On Monday Sends Wheat, Soybean Oil Higher September KC wheat was up 36 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 32 1/4 cents, sharp rebounds from last week's selling with help from Monday's lower U.S. dollar and reports of hot, dry conditions in western and southern Europe. December soybean oil closed up 2.65 cents with bullish support from higher trading in both palm oil and crude oil. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 8 cents and December corn was up 7 cents. August soybeans closed up 31 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 38 cents. September KC wheat closed up 36 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat was up 36 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 32 1/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.72 at 107.19. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 19.49 points at 31,268.77. August gold is up $4.60 at $1,708.20, September silver is up $0.12 at $18.72 and September copper is up $0.0875. September crude oil is up $4.96 at $99.53, September heating oil is down $0.0255, September RBOB gasoline is up $0.0756 and September natural gas is up $0.458.
