DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/19 13:52 Corn, Soybeans Sink on Cooler, Wetter Outlook; Wheat Fades As the extended weather outlook saw one of the primary models shift to a cooler, wetter pattern next week for the Western Corn Belt, soybeans and corn moved lower on Tuesday, despite the ongoing searing heat and dryness, which is likely pulling down moisture reserves in many areas. Wheat traded both sides and was firm early on weakness in the U.S. dollar, but sold off on news that Egypt had canceled their tender. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 15 1/2 cents per bushel and December corn was down 15 1/2 cents. August soybeans closed down 20 cents and November soybeans were down 22 cents. September KC wheat closed down 4 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 1/2 cent and September Minneapolis wheat was down 8 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.646 at 106.585. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 675.23 points at 31,747.84. August gold is down $1.10 at $1,709.10, September silver is down $0.16 at $18.68 and September copper is down $0.0600 at $3.2860. August crude oil is up $1.50 at $104.10, August heating oil is down $0.0212, September RBOB is up $0.0508 and August natural gas is down $0.176.
