Protein wheats are seeing basis levels hold steady and prices were moving mostly in line with a week ago on Tuesday. Trade has been very light since the recent downturn in prices. Crop Progress...Winter wheat conditions held in line with the prior week for the Pacific Northwest, as the three-state weighted index stayed at 104% of average. Idaho saw good to excellent ratings climb 14 points from the prior week to 78%, Oregon slipped 2% to 61% and Washingtion was unchanged at 70%. Spring wheat conditions for Washington are one of the best on record, with good to excellent reported at 97%. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed a marked reduction for U.S. wheat loadings over the past week, coming in at only 6.8 mb to put year to date shipments 27% behind a year ago at 77 mb. Hard red winter moved 3.5 mb and soft white loaded 2.8 mb.
