DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/21 13:47 Rain, Crude Oil Pressure Corn, Soybeans Lower December corn closed down 16 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 30 3/4 cents, pressured by the anticipation of rain in the seven-day forecast and by a lower price of crude oil after the U.S. showed lower gasoline demand in Wednesday's weekly inventory report. All three wheat prices were also lower with the northwestern Plains enjoying milder temperatures this week. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 16 1/2 cents and December corn was down 16 1/2 cents. August soybeans closed down 30 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 30 3/4 cents. September KC wheat closed down 9 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 13 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 11 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.20 at 106.75. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 20.12 points at 31,894.96. August gold is up $12.70 at $1,712.90, September silver is up $0.02 at $18.69 and September copper is down $0.0285. September crude oil is down $3.57 at $96.31, September heating oil is down $0.0412, September RBOB gasoline is down $0.1212 and September natural gas is down $0.034.
