DTN Early Word Grains 07/22 05:52 Wheat Prices Fall With Possible Grain Shipment Deal Due Friday December corn was down 7 cents, November soybeans were down 6 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 25 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst PRE-6 a.m. GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was down 7 cents, November soybeans were down 6 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 25 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Friday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are roughly steady with European stocks a little higher. Wheat prices are trading lower after Reuters reported Ukraine and Russia may sign a deal in Turkey Friday to allow shipments of grain to leave Ukraine's Black Sea ports. CNBC.com reports the market is awaiting earnings reports Friday from American Express, Verizon and Twitter. Later Friday, USDA will release a semi-annual cattle inventory report on cattle on-feed report, both for July 1. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 162.06 at 32,036.90 and the S&P 500 up 39.05 at 3,998.95 as the 10-Year Treasury yield fell to 2.91%, down from the highest level in three and a half years. Early Thursday, September Dow Jones futures are trading down 7 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.17% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 2.03%. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.25%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.61% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.30%. The September euro is down $0.0035 at $1.0199. The September U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.16 at 106.97. The September 30-year T-bond is up 1 12/32nds, while August gold is up $4.20 at $1,717.60 and September crude oil is down $0.01 at $96.34. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 1.4%, September soybeans were down 1.1%, September soybean meal was down 1.1% and September soybean oil was down 1.0%. September Malaysian palm oil is trading up 1.0%.
