DTN Early Word Grains 07/26 06:31 Crop Prices Higher Early Tuesday as Crop Ratings Decline December corn was up 13 cents, November soybeans were up 19 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was up 13 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are lower with international markets mixed as the Federal Reserve is about to begin its two-day meeting. According to the Wall Street Journal, shares of WalMart and Target are trading lower after WalMart warned of a slowdown in consumer activity. Earnings reports from General Motors, Coca Cola and McDonald's are due to be released later Tuesday. September natural gas is up another 13 cents early after Russia's Gazprom told Germany it was cutting its supply of gas from 40% of capacity to 20%. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 90.75 at 31,990.04 and the S&P 500 up 5.21 at 3,966.84 as the 10-Year Treasury yield increased to 2.82%, down from the highest level in three and a half years. Early Tuesday, September Dow Jones futures are trading down 179 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.16% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.83%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.74%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.07% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading unchanged. The September euro is down $0.0017 at $1.0244. The September U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.11 at 106.47. The September 30-year T-bond is up 23/32nds, while August gold is up $3.10 at $1,722.20 and September crude oil is up $1.42 at $98.12. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was up 1.6%, September soybeans were up 1.7%, September soybean meal was up 1.5% and September soybean oil was up 2.1%. September Malaysian palm oil is trading up 3.9%.
