DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/27 13:51 Fed Does Its Thing Wednesday, Soybeans Do Theirs November soybeans closed up 26 1/4 cents Wednesday, a fourth consecutive day higher with support from another new contract high in August meal and a 1.24-cent gain in December soybean oil. Wheat prices were lower, but commodities in general were unfazed by the highly anticipated Fed announcement, which raised the federal funds rate by 0.75%. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 3 1/4 cents and December corn was up 2 1/4 cents. August soybeans closed up 46 cents and November soybeans were up 26 1/4 cents. September KC wheat closed down 15 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 13 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 18 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.17 at 106.87. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 122.03 points at 31,883.57. August gold is up $6.00 at $1,723.70, September silver is up $0.22 at $18.76 and September copper is up $0.0650. September crude oil is up $2.09 at $97.07, September heating oil is up $0.1128, September RBOB gasoline is up $0.0778 and September natural gas is down $0.270.
