DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/10 13:55 Wheats Finish Higher as Volatile Soybeans Set Back September contracts of all three U.S. wheats closed with double-digit gains Wednesday, leading a grain sector that saw a 26-cent gain in November soybeans turn into a 1-cent loss at the close. December corn ended up 4 1/2 cents, supported by a mostly dry seven-day forecast and ongoing concerns about this year's yields. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 5 3/4 cents and December corn was up 4 1/2 cents. August soybeans closed down 4 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 1 cents. September KC wheat closed up 21 cents, September Chicago wheat was up 18 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 13 1/2 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 1.23 at 105.02. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 477.18 points at 33,251.59. August gold is down $4.30 at $1,808.0, September silver is up $0.17 at $20.65 and September copper is up $0.0560. September crude oil is up $1.78 at $92.28, September heating oil is up $0.0814, September RBOB gasoline is up $0.1158 and September natural gas is up $0.350.
