DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/15 14:00 Soybeans, Meal Prices Tumble as Week Starts With Rain November soybeans were down 42 cents and December soybean meal was down $12.80 Monday, pressured by rain in the western Midwest and concerns about a slowing economy in China. December cotton was last seen limit-up, continuing to benefit from Friday's bullish USDA estimates. September soybeans closed down 41 cents and November soybeans were down 42 cents. September KC wheat closed down 6 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 5 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 8 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.90 at 106.41. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 156.60 points at 33,917.65. August gold is down $21.20 at $1,794.30, September silver is down $0.49 at $20.21 and September copper is down $0.0590. September crude oil is down $2.71 at $89.38, September heating oil is down $0.0803, September RBOB gasoline is down $0.1015 and September natural gas is down $0.030.
