CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are trading lower with news of economic slowing prompting an unexpected rate cut in China and in front of a week that will see earnings reported from Home Depot, Walmart and Target. Grain traders will continue to digest USDA's new estimates from Friday, but also appear rattled by Monday morning's news from China and outlook for this week's relief from the summer's hot temperatures. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 424.38 at 33,761.05 and the S&P 500 up 72.88 at 4,207.27 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.85%, up from its lowest rate in over three months. Early Monday, September Dow Jones futures are trading down 174 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.14% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.02%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.11%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.05% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.19%. The September euro is down $0.0066 at $1.0225. The September U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.59 at 106.10. The September 30-year T-bond is up 7/16nds, while August gold is down $16.70 at $1,798.80 and September crude oil is down $3.05 at $89.04. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 0.6%, September soybeans were down 0.5%, September soybean meal was down 0.3% and September soybean oil was down 0.1%. September Malaysian palm oil is trading down 4.4%.
