DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/18 13:56 Spring Wheat Challenges Its Lowest Price in 2022 September Minneapolis wheat fell 30 3/4 cents to $8.52 3/4, near the contract's lowest price of $8.52 with pressure from rain in the forecast for winter wheat areas and from a steadily growing number of ships carrying grain away from Ukraine. December soybean meal showed another day of strong demand, closing up $7.30 and lifting November soybeans up 15 1/4 cents to $14.05 1/4. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 4 3/4 cents and December corn was up 3 3/4 cents. September soybeans closed up 20 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 15 1/4 cents. September KC wheat closed down 37 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 31 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 30 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.97 at 107.46. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 53.42 points at 33,926.90. August gold is down $4.10 at $1,772.60, September silver is down $0.27 at $19.46 and September copper is up $0.0615. September crude oil is up $2.57 at $90.68, September heating oil is up $0.0449, September RBOB gasoline is up $0.0988 and September natural gas is down $0.120.
