DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/22 14:02 Crop Prices Charge Higher Monday, Led by Soybean Meal Demand for soy products continues to be a bullish theme in 2022 as December soybean meal closed up $13.10 and pulled November soybeans up 31 1/4 cents. All three U.S. wheats scored a second day of double-digit gains and December corn posted a modest gain of 5 3/4 cents. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 7 1/2 cents and December corn was up 5 3/4 cents. September soybeans closed up 38 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 31 1/4 cents. September KC wheat closed up 19 cents, September Chicago wheat was up 17 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 13 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.88 at 108.98. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 639.73 points at 33,067.01. December gold is down $13.60 at $1,749.30, September silver is down $0.21 at $18.86 and September copper is down $0.0160. October crude oil is down $0.24 at $90.20, October heating oil is up $0.0724, October RBOB gasoline is down $0.1164 and October natural gas is up $0.352.
