Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was up 5 cents, November soybeans were up 12 cents and September KC wheat was up 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Friday, U.S. stock futures on the Dow Jones Industrials are trading a little lower ahead of Friday morning's talk by Federal Chairman Jerome Powell from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The chairman is expected to reaffirm support for another rate hike in September and Fed-watchers will be hanging on every word. Reports on U.S. personal incomes and spending are due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Friday, followed by the University of Michigan's index of U.S. consumer sentiment at 9 a.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 322.55 at 33,291.78 and the S&P 500 up 58.35 at 4,199.12 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.03%, down from the highest rate in over a month. Early Friday, September Dow Jones futures are trading down 94 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.57% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.31%. European markets are slightly higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.09% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.13%. The September euro is up $0.0019 at $1.0003. The September U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.03 at 108.41. The September 30-year T-bond is down 27/32nds, while December gold is down $6.90 at $1,764.50 and October crude oil is up $0.86 at $93.38. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was up 0.3%, November soybeans were down 0.8%, January soybean meal was down 1.6% and January soybean oil was down 0.4%. November Malaysian palm oil is trading down 1.7%.
