DTN Closing Livestock Comment 08/31 16:09 Goodbye, Good Riddance, So Long Wednesday It was a tough day for the livestock complex as pressure kept the contracts trading lower and the cash cattle traded $1.00 to $5.00 lower. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: It was a disappointing day for the livestock complex as a blanket of pressure seemed to mount over the market and as time passed the pressure only grew harder and harder to resist. Heading into Thursday's trade monitoring the cash hog market and any sizeable developments it makes will be inherently important. Hog prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $2.02 with a weighted average of $104.81 on 8,165 head. December corn is down 6 3/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $9.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 280.44 points.
