DTN Early Word Grains 09/12 05:49 Crop Prices Turn Slightly Higher Ahead of Monday's WASDE Report December corn was up 1/2 cent, November soybeans were up 4 cents and December KC wheat was up 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was up 1/2 cent, November soybeans were up 4 cents and December KC wheat was up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, stock prices around the globe are trading higher, even after the U.K. reported slightly lower than expected GDP growth in July. There is a general expectation Tuesday's U.S. report on August consumer prices will show an easing. Also, several media sources reported Russian troops are falling back from positions in northeastern Ukraine. USDA's Crop Production and WASDE reports are set for release at 11 a.m. CDT. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 377.19 at 32,151.71 and the S&P 500 up 61.18 at 4,067.36 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.32%, near its highest yield in 11 years. Early Friday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 106 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.16% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.82%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.00%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 1.61% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.26%. The September euro is up $0.0146 at $1.0194. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down 1.17 at 107.83. The December 30-year T-bond is up 10/32nds, while December gold is up $8.70 at $1,737.30 and October crude oil is up $0.76 at $87.55. Quotes from China were not available due to a national holiday. November Malaysian palm oil is trading up 1.8%.
