DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/15 13:41 Wheat Crumbles Again; Meal Firmer; Beans, Oil Weaker With Crude With very little news to drive the markets Thursday, wheat markets weakened, as there appears to be a better chance for some moisture in the drought-stricken southwest. Corn sold off as the day wore on and meal caught a bid, while bean oil sank with weaker outside financial markets again, including crude oil, which was down sharply. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed down 4 3/4 cents per bushel and March corn was down 4 1/2 cents. November soybeans closed down 3 1/2 cents and January soybeans were down 3 cents. December KC wheat closed down 20 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 27 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 7 1/2 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.059 at 109.690. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 18.33 points at 31,116.76. December gold is down $35.70 at $1,673.40, December silver is down $0.36 at $19.21 and December copper is down $0.0410 at $3.4785. October crude oil is down $3.23 at $85.25, October heating oil is down $0.1768, October RBOB is down $0.0868 and October natural gas is down $0.695.
