DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/22 14:01 One Day After Bearish Fed Decision, Corn and Wheat Prices Push Higher December corn posted a small gain and December KC wheat closed up 12 1/2 cents, still not finding much rain in the seven-day forecast for the southwestern U.S. Plains. December soybean meal fell back a second day from Tuesday's new high close, triggering spread activity, which boosted December soybean oil 1.46 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 2 3/4 cents and July corn was up 4 cents. November soybeans closed down 4 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 2 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed up 12 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 7 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 12 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.76 at 111.11. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 124.22 points at 30,059.56. December gold is up $2.30 at $1,678.0, December silver is up $0.11 at $19.59 and December copper is down $0.0075. November crude oil is up $0.26 at $83.20, November heating oil is up $0.0573, November RBOB gasoline is up $0.0149 and November natural gas is down $0.647.
