Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was up 4 cents, November soybeans were up 9 cents and December KC wheat was up 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting lower again, along with stocks in Europe. It is looking like Wednesday's reprieve from all the bearish concerns about higher interest rates was a one-day event as T-bond prices are sharply lower and the U.S. dollar is higher. In addition to USDA's weekly export sales report at 7:30 a.m. CDT, there will also be reports on weekly U.S. jobless claims, second-quarter GDP and later, a report on natural gas storage. USDA's quarterly Hogs and Pigs report is set for 2 p.m. CDT. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday had the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 548.75 at 29,683.74 and the S&P 500 up 71.75 at 3,719.04, while the 10-Year Treasury yield fell to 3.70%, down from the highest yield in 12 years. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are trading down 216 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.95% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.13%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 1.44%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 1.66% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 1.58%. The December euro is down $0.0058 at $.9745. The December U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.68 at 113.19. The December 30-year T-bond is down 1 22/32nds, while December gold is down $13.20 at $1,656.80 and November crude oil is up $0.58 at $82.73. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was up 0.1%, November soybeans were up 1.3%, January soybean meal was up 1.2% and January soybean oil was up 0.1%. December Malaysian palm oil is trading up 3.6%.
