Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was down 1 cent, November soybeans were down 6 cents and December KC wheat was up 4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting higher with stocks mixed in Europe. The U.S. Labor Department is set to release its report on consumer prices in September and weekly jobless claims, both at 7:30 a.m. CDT after Wednesday's producer prices came in higher than expected. According to CNBC.com, third-quarter earnings reports include Walgreens and Domino's Pizza. The Energy Department's weekly reports of natural gas storage and energy inventories will be out at 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., respectively. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 28.34 at 29,210.85 and the S&P 500 down 11.81 at 3,577.03, while the 10-Year Treasury yield slipped to 3.90%, near the highest yield in 12 years. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 133 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.60% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.30%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.38% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.15%. The December euro is up $0.0007 at $.9753. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.07 at 113.15. The December 30-year T-bond is down 8/32nds, while December gold is up $3.10 at $1,680.60 and November crude oil is up $0.63 at $87.90. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was up 0.4%, November soybeans were up 1.1%, January soybean meal was up 1.0% and January soybean oil was up 1.8%. December Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.7%.
