DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/19 14:14 Crop Prices Mixed to Lower as Soybean Oil Hits 4-Month High Active contracts of corn, soybeans and all three wheats finished lower Wednesday, while December soybean oil pushed up 1.90 cents to a new four-month high of 70.64 cents. Influence from outside markets was mostly bearish Wednesday, but higher prices of both palm oil and crude oil lent further support to soybean oil. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed down 2 3/4 cents and July corn was down 2 1/4 cents. November soybeans closed up 1/2 cent and July soybeans were up 2 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed down 2 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 8 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 2 1/2 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.80 at 112.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 159.01 points at 30,364.79. December gold is down $22.10 at $1,633.70, December silver is down $0.23 at $18.38 and December copper is down $0.0395. November crude oil is up $2.43 at $84.50, November ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0675, November RBOB gasoline is up $0.0722 and November natural gas is down $0.279.
