Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 6 cents and December KC wheat was up 9 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting roughly steady, while U.S. T-bond futures continue to extend new lows. According to CNBC.com, IBM turned in better-than-expected results Wednesday. Thursday's earnings reports include Freeport-McMoRan, Tractor Supply, Union Pacific and AT&T. USDA's weekly export sales report will be out at 7:30 a.m. CDT, the same time as weekly U.S. jobless claims and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. A report on U.S. existing home sales for September is due out at 9 a.m., followed by natural gas storage from the Energy Department at 9:30 a.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 99.99 at 30,423.81 and the S&P 500 down 24.82 at 3,695.16, while the 10-Year Treasury yield increased to 4.13%, the highest yield in 12 years. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 13 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.92% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.31%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.03%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.61% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.14%. The December euro is up $0.0016 at $.9826. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.08 at 112.80. The December 30-year T-bond is down 17/32nds, while December gold is down $0.20 at $1,634.0 and November crude oil is up $0.97 at $85.49. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was down 0.1%, November soybeans were up 0.3%, January soybean meal was up 0.4% and January soybean oil was up 0.7%. December Malaysian palm oil is trading up 1.1%.
