DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/24 13:50 Soybeans Trade Lower After Xi Jinping Secures Power Another Five Years January soybeans closed down 23 1/4 cents, persuaded by Monday's lower soybean meal price and showing concerns about Xi Jinping emerging from the weekend with an even stronger grip on power in China. All three U.S. wheat prices also traded lower with rain falling across Kansas and Oklahoma. January soybeans closed down 23 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 22 1/4 cents. December KC wheat closed down 10 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 12 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 5 3/4 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.01 at 111.97. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 370.79 points at 31,453.35. December gold is down $3.20 at $1,653.10, December silver is up $0.10 at $19.17 and December copper is down $0.0480. December crude oil is down $0.52 at $84.53, December ultra-low sulfur diesel is up $0.0199, December RBOB gasoline is up $0.0263 and December natural gas is up $0.247.
