DTN Early Word Grains 11/01 07:21 Soybeans Start Higher in November, Thanks to Active Demand December corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were up 13 cents and December KC wheat was down 6 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were up 13 cents and December KC wheat was down 6 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, stock futures in the U.S. were trading higher, encouraged by Treasury bonds also trading higher, in spite of nearly unanimous expectations the Federal Reserve will raise the federal funds rate target on Wednesday. European and Asian stocks were also mostly higher overnight, even after an index of manufacturing in China showed contraction in October, reported RTTNews.com. The Institute of Supply Management's index of U.S. manufacturing is due out at 9 a.m. CDT Tuesday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 828.52 at 32,861.80 and the S&P 500 up 93.76 at 3,901.06, while the 10-Year Treasury yield increased to 4.01%, down from the highest yield since 2008. Early Tuesday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 195 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.33% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 2.62%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.44%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.81% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.56%. The December euro is up $0.0033 at $.9956. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.51 at 110.91. The December 30-year T-bond is up 1 9/32nds, while December gold is up $9.10 at $1,649.80 and December crude oil is up $0.91 at $87.44. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was up 0.1%, January soybeans were up 2.1%, January soybean meal was up 2.8% and January soybean oil was up 0.8%. January Malaysian palm oil is trading up 5.1%.
