DTN Closing Livestock Comment 11/04 16:16 Friday Closes Without Much Developing Throughout the Day Heading into Monday's market, everyone hopes that some sort of direction for the near term will be found. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS Friday's trade came and went without much action developing throughout the day. The market understands where its long-term trajectory lies, but how it should trade in the present remains the biggest issue. The market's fundaments don't seem to hold a candle to the war between Russia and Ukraine, interest rates and our uncertain economy. Hog prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog report, down $0.94 with a weighted average of $85.18 on 4,295 head. December corn is up 1 3/4 cents per bushel, and December soybean meal is up $6.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 401.97 points.
