Support stems from the recent improved pace of export demand over the past three weeks. Shipments...West coast export activity remains focused on loading of soybeans to accommodate restricted movements on the Mississippi to the Gulf. Wheat shipments off all U.S. ports were only 2.8 mb, putting the year-to-date total at 363 mb and 4% behind a year ago. Soybean movement to China registered 22 mb off the west coast and nearly the same amount loaded out of the Gulf. Crop Progress...Week-to-week winter wheat conditions were virtually unchanged for the Pacific Northwest, with Idaho ratings lagging average levels this year. Oregon reports 73% of the crop as good to excellent, Washington is at 61%, and Idaho is setting at just 41% with 52% of that crop rated as fair. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2022 DTN/Telvent.
