DTN Closing Grain Comments 11/16 13:52 Soybean Oil, Recession Concerns Drag Soybeans Lower January soybeans fell 28 cents Wednesday, pulled lower by a 2.90-cent loss in December soybeans as energy prices continued to show concerns about slower economic growth ahead. Wheat prices mostly gave back Tuesday's gains with new doubts about the cause of Tuesday's explosions in Poland. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn ended down 1 1/2 cents and July corn was down 3/4 cents. January soybeans closed down 28 cents and July soybeans were down 25 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed down 7 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 10 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 8 1/2 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.02 at 106.32. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 6.42 points at 33,586.50. December gold is down $0.00 at $1,776.80, December silver is down $0.02 at $21.50 and December copper is down $0.0640. December crude oil is down $1.35 at $85.57, December ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0570, December RBOB gasoline is down $0.0175 and December natural gas is up $0.051.
