DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/09 13:58 Wheat Lower on Moisture Chances, While Row Crops Unfazed by USDA Estimates March KC wheat closed down 11 3/4 cents Friday with a mix of rain and snow expected in next week's forecast for the Central and Southern Plains. March corn was up 1 1/2 cents and January soybeans were down 2 1/2 cents, not showing much reaction to Friday's new estimates from USDA. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 1 1/2 cents and July corn was unchanged. January soybeans closed down 2 1/2 cents and July soybeans were down 2 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed down 11 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 12 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 8 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.02 at 104.78. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 91.54 points at 33,689.94. February gold is up $8.80 at $1,810.30, March silver is up $0.45 at $23.70 and March copper is down $0.0330. January crude oil is down $0.97 at $70.49, January ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0958, January RBOB gasoline is up $0.0020, and January natural gas is up $0.348.
