DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/19 14:12 Row Crop Prices Lower With Rain In Argentina's Forecast March KC wheat dropped 16 1/2 cents Friday but managed to finish higher on a week dominated by outside market concerns about higher interest rates and recession. January soybeans ended up 6 1/2 cents, supported by another day of bull-spreading in January soybean meal. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 5 3/4 cents and January soybeans were down 19 1/4 cents, both pressured by rain in the forecast for Argentina later this week. Worsening Covid conditions reported in China over the weekend also added to traders' concerns about soybean demand. March corn closed down 5 3/4 cents and July corn was down 5 1/4 cents. January soybeans closed down 19 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 19 cents. March KC wheat closed down 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 5 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 1 1/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.01 at 104.65. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 279.16 points at 32,641.30.
