DTN Early Word Grains 12/28 05:28 US Crops Mixed Early Wednesday; Soybeans Try Rally Again Early morning Globex net changes: March corn is down 1 cent, March soybeans are up 12 cents and March KC wheat is down 1 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 1 cent, March soybeans are up 12 cents and March KC wheat is down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, stock futures in the U.S. were trading a little higher, a relatively quiet time between holidays, marred by a tangled mess of flight cancellations. International stock markets are slightly lower overall, and Russia continues to press its attacks in eastern and southern Ukraine. An index of U.S. pending home sales will be out at 9:00 a.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 37.63 at 33,241.56 and the S&P 500 down 15.57 at 3,829.25, while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.86%, the highest yield in over a month. Early Tuesday, March Dow Jones futures are trading up 89 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.41% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.88%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.12% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.09%. The March euro is down $0.0009 at $1.0694. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.08 at 103.98. The March 30-year T-bond is up 12/32nds, while February gold is down $12.80 at $1,810.30 and February crude oil is down $0.46 at $79.07. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was up 1.0%, January soybeans were up 0.7%, May soybean meal was down 1.2% and May soybean oil was up 1.3%. March Malaysian palm oil is trading down 0.2%.
