Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 3 cents, March soybeans are down 4 cents and March KC wheat is down 12 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting a little higher, navigating the final days of 2022 with questions about the possibility of recession many have been anticipating. Thursday's reports include weekly U.S. jobless claims and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor at 7:30 a.m. CST, U.S. natural gas storage at 9:30 a.m. and weekly energy inventories at 10 a.m. USDA's weekly export sales report will not be out until Friday morning due to this week's holiday schedule. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 365.85 at 32,875.71 and the S&P 500 down 46.03 at 3,783.22, while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.89%, the highest yield in over a month. Early Thursday, March Dow Jones futures are trading up 87 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.94% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.44%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.45%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.19% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.03%. The March euro is up $0.0027 at $1.0702. The March U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.26 at 103.93. The March 30-year T-bond is up 5/32nds, while February gold is down $0.40 at $1,815.40 and February crude oil is down $1.22 at $77.74. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was up 0.4%, January soybeans were up 0.2%, May soybean meal was up 0.7% and May soybean oil was down 0.0%. March Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.1%.
