Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 1/2 cent, March soybeans are up 11 cents and March KC wheat is down 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Friday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting the final trading session of the year lower, in line with stocks in Europe. Higher interest rates and the threat of recession remain concerns after several stocks in the technology sector took a beating in 2022. USDA's weekly export sales report will be out at 7:30 a.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 345.09 at 33,220.80 and the S&P 500 up 66.06 at 3,849.28, while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.83%, near the highest yield in over a month. Early Friday, March Dow Jones futures are trading down 102 points. Asian markets are mostly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index steady and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.51%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.21%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.59% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.68%. The March euro is down $0.0017 at $1.0716. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.05 at 103.64. The March 30-year T-bond is down 6/32nds, while February gold is down $3.30 at $1,822.70 and February crude oil is down $0.44 at $77.96. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was up 0.1%, January soybeans were down 2.4%, May soybean meal was up 0.8% and May soybean oil was up 0.5%. March Malaysian palm oil is trading up 2.2%.
