Improving crop estimates out of Australia, at least in terms of quantity, and extremely light export demand weighed on the wheat markets this week. Weekly Sales...USDA reported a sharp retreat in U.S. wheat sales last week, as the total of 1.7 mb set a new marketing year low. Year-to-date commitments now set at 550 mb, which is 6% below a year ago and 15% off the five-year average pace for late December. White wheat sales were the one bright spot as 2.4 mb were reported being sold to China.
