DTN Early Word Grains 01/17 05:38 Nearly All Commodities Lower Early Tuesday, Including Crop Prices March corn is down 5 cents, March soybeans are down 11 cents and March KC wheat is down 13 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 5 cents, March soybeans are down 11 cents and March KC wheat is down 13 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, stock futures in the U.S. were trading lower along with most European stock markets after China reported 3% GDP growth in 2022, the second slowest year since 1976, reported the Wall Street Journal. March T-bonds are trading higher, a reminder the Fed is apt to keep raising interest rates. According to CNBC.com, Tuesday's earnings reports include Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and United Airlines. USDA's weekly report of grain export inspections will be out at 10 a.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up at 112.64 at 34,302.61 and the S&P 500 up 15.92 at 3,999.09, while the 10-Year Treasury yield inched up to 3.51%, near its lowest in four months. Early Tuesday, March Dow Jones futures are down 72 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.23% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.10%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.20%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.32% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.21%. The March euro is down $0.0016 at $1.0856. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.22 at 102.17. The March 30-year T-bond is down 29/32nds, while February gold is down $13.20 at $1,908.50 and February crude oil is down $0.23 at $79.63. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was up 0.1%, March soybeans were up 0.4%, May soybean meal was down 0.4% and May soybean oil was up 0.4%. March Malaysian palm oil is trading down 1.6%.
