DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/18 13:37 Soybeans, Meal Lead the Way Down on Argentine Rain Soybeans, meal, and corn futures rebuffed early gains to close lower Wednesday, pressured by a better rain forecast for Argentina and weak outside markets. Wheat also reversed early strength to resume its downtrend and close sharply lower, with KC March breaking a four-day winning streak. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 4 cents per bushel and May corn was down 3 1/2 cents. March soybeans closed down 15 1/4 cents and May soybeans were down 16 cents. March KC wheat closed down 14 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 9 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 16 1/2 cents.
