DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/25 13:48 Soybeans, Meal Surge after Lower Start; Wheat Rises Again In very slow trade, the hard-to-figure wheat market rose for a second straight day despite more precipitation in the dry Southern Plains. Soybeans and soymeal staved off early weakness to finish with decent gains on a day with little fresh news. Corn weakened on the heels of poor ethanol data. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 2 1/4 cents per bushel and May corn was down 2 cents. March soybeans closed up 14 cents and May soybeans were up 10 cents. March KC wheat closed up 9 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 6 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 4 cents.
